EXERCISE AND FITNESS ROUTINES BASED UPON YOGA POSES. 

Specializing in Power Yoga, my website offers instruction designed to improve your fitness and well-being and to promote relaxation.
 
Yoga differs from traditional exercise programs as it strengthens and stretches each side of our bodies simultaneously, creating balance and harmony. There is no meditation, there is no chanting. In our Power Yoga class, I provide instruction to every pose and offer modifications to each one so that a person of any level will have correct form and maximum benefit of each pose.
 
These dynamic, flowing Yoga poses are not only proven to increase performance, strength and flexibility, they also improve balance, concentration and mental well-being.

 Yoga combined with resistance training should only be done once you are comfortable and familiar with the poses. 
 
Adding the resistance of small dumbbells to selected poses builds muscle more quickly and elevates your heart rate enabling your body to burn calories more efficiently.
 
I have personally found that by doing the same type of workout over and over you can cause your body to become bored (plateau) and you will not only stop losing weight, but may even begin to gain weight.  My Yoga & Weight training program combine cardiorespiratory and resistance training with Yoga, giving your body a new challenge.
